Description:
THe Museum is part of CIBIO - Latin American Centre for Bio-Diversity, a research centre with the with the aim of developing and encouraging scientific research on Latin American bio-diversity and creating an educational environmental space as a framework of cultural and educational transfer for the concept of both bio-diversity itself and the need for its preservation.

The CIBIO is not only devoted to the study of the organisms making up the Latin American eco-systems, but also to solve social and economic development of those villages suffering the exploitation of such a bio-diversity through projects for sustainable development.
