Description: Keele Observatory is a unique collaboration between the amateur astronomers of Keele AstroSoc, and members of the University's Astrophysics Group. The main instruments are a 24 inch reflector which is equipped with a SBIG ST6 CCD camera, and 12 inch refractor. Aside from the local amateur astronomers, the observatory is also used for teaching adult education courses and undergraduates, as well as for research. You can get some idea of the research we do by looking at the papers which use data from the Observatory, and sometimes from our friends around the world. In between teaching and research we also take some pictures, just for fun (from the Observatory's website at: http://www.astro.keele.ac.uk/~obs/home.html).
