Gates are open: Weekdays during Winter (1 October - 31 March) from 7 A.M. to 5 P.M.; Sat, Sun, and Holidays during Winter from 10A.M. to 5 P.M.; Weekdays during Summer (1 April - 30 September) from 7. A.M. to 8 P.M.; Sat, Sun, and Holidays during Summer from 10A.M. to 8 P.M.
Greenhouses: Open every day except Mon, between 11 A.M. and 4 P.M.; closed on New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Saturday before Eas- ter, Easter Sunday, 1 May, 17 May, Satur- day before Whitsunday, Whitsunday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve.

Guided tours: Guided tours are arranged for groups by the Botanical Garden and Museum in co-operation with the Friends of the Botanical Garden and Museum.

Description:
The University Botanical Garden was founded in 1814. Most of the lands were however sold. Today, the Garden covers about 15 hectares (37,5 acres). Three Natural History Museum buildings are located within the Garden.
