Description: The history of labour activity of the numerous University collective is clearly shown in the historical museum formed in 1987. Over 5000 true historical materials reflect the history of the University formation and development from 1953 to the present time.
On the thematic stands there are presented photos of the first rectors, who made their contribution into the University life. The chair albums, turnstiles present the faculties’, chairs’ achievements; there are also some personal stands:
-the years of training at the KPI of N.A.Nazarbayev, the first RK President
-the oldest rector of the KPI A.S.Saginov, an academician, professor, Social labour Hero, heading the Institute over 30 years
-the first professor Kazakh – a mathematics professor A.A.Ermekov, the author of the first text-book on higher mathematics in the Kazakh language, a senior teacher of the KPI
-the chairs are called by their names
-the international recognition of the KSTU, the awarding two SPI gold medals to G.G.Piven, the winner of the International program “PPIS-SPI Gold Medal” title in Paris in 2002.
There are demonstrated monographs, text-books, scientific works of conferences, patents, scientific inventions models.
The history of teaching-and-scientific achievements is added with the stands about World War II veterans and rear workers in the years 1941-1945. The achievements of the student youth are presented at the exposition “Students’ participation in the social life”. There are presented excellent students, participants of republican, regional festivals and congresses. There are presented their awards – diplomas, honourable letters, certificates, etc.
The visitor of the museum can see the University collective awards. In the museum there are stored the USSR Supreme Council orders about awarding the KPI with the Labour Red Banner Order (1976); the Anniversary Honourable Sign (1972); Memorable Red Banners, diplomas, honourable letters, cups, souvenirs. There are shown the achievements, awards of the KSTU collective in honour of the 10-th anniversary of the RK Independence. The expositions are systematically renewed with new historical documents.
