Description:
The Old Anatomical Theatre houses a medical collection of the University of Tartu containing a wide range of historical anatomical and pathological specimens, the oldest of which date back to the first years of the 19th c. It includes prosections demonstrating normal human anatomy alongside examples of various pathologies; skeletons; skulls; sets of individual bones; wax models, and tables. Around 5000 specimens are on display. Also a pharmacological laboratory of the 1980s and an x-ray cabinet have been set up.
