Description:
National Taiwan University Agricultural Exhibition Hall is under supervision of College of Bioresources and Agriculture, NTU. The Hall is setup in April 29th, 1964, financially supported by Sino-American Joint Commission on Rural Reconstruction (JCRR). The aim is to reveal agricultural achievements after WWII in Taiwan, such as 375 tax declining for the crofters, or the Land for Every Farmer Policy. In the many tough years of difficult diplomatic situation of Taiwan, the agricultural consulting and mutual visiting help Taiwan get many international friends, and help many areas to raise the agricultural quality and quantity and make people’s life better. And this exhibition hall always plays a important role between the interacting.

The building of AEH is also very remarkable and famous. It’s designed by a brilliant architect named Chang, Chao-Kang. Chang mixed the western and eastern abstract aesthesis, using figures of square and round, build a modernism building in the years of rethinking and doubting, the sixties. Soonly the remarkable building are took as a milestone in Taiwan architect history, even today.

Now the new directions of AEH has been set to more open and intimate with the teachers-students, or the neighbor residents. New inner redecorating has been finished in recent years, and new special exhibitions in the themes of environmental preservation or the love for the Gaia. Located in the main entrance area of NTU, AEH is always providing the warm acceptance to every guests coming to the campus, giving any kind of assistant or guidance. AEH will keep trying to be a gate for the campus and a friend to everyone.
