Description:
The collections housed on the St. Augustine Campus started in 1921 as part of the Imperial College of Tropical Agricultures insect collections. Over the years the collections have grown to almost 25,000 specimens.

All the major animal groups found in Trinidad & Tobago and the surrounding region are covered. Strengths are in freshwater fish, reptiles, amphibians, decapod crustaceans, molluscs and insects.

The collections are stored in two small rooms with specimens arranged taxonomically and with a range of items on open display. The museum is used by students and staff of the university as well as visiting school groups and foreign researchers.
