Description:
Part of the University of Lisbon since 1911, the archive consists of administrative and institutional documents, national and international correspondence, photographs, architectonic and electrical plans, meteorologic and seismological instruments and their manuals, as well as meteorologic and seismologic data collected with this instruments since 1853, when the institute was founded as a meteorological observatory.
