Description:
The Historical Archive, established in 1990, collects the documentation produced by the University from 1560 to 1960. In 2003, the archive has been placed inside a historic path and consists of five rooms in which there are objects, memorabilia and documents relating the affairs of the University from the fifteenth to the twentieth century. Among the exhibits are of particular significance the “Bat academic” a scepter of silver in 1440, and the “Flag Guard Universitaria”, a flag with the emblem of the Grand Duchy made in 1848, for the first war of Independence. The Archives is located on the ground floor of the building of the Rectory, home of the University since 1815 and the Roadmap also includes the historic Great Hall, built in 1826, the Aula Magna of 1939 and the former meteorological observatory built in 1827, from which you can admire the view of the city
