Description:
The University Museum presents the material evidence of teaching and research at the University of Groningen, as well as the history of the position the University has occupied in the city through the ages.

Photographs, posters, costumes and other attributes afford a picture of colourful student life. Instruments and apparatus, from the smallest microscope to the largest electrostatic generator, give an impression of scientific research and education.

The Universiteitsmuseum also includes an Anatomy Museum and the Gerardus van der Leeuw Museum (Anthropology), currently under renovation therefore closed to the public.
