Description:
The museum was opened in 1985, during the 40th anniversary of the

Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture.

The collection includes over 300 museum exhibits, including documents,

photographs, trophies, medals, and other items pertaining to

Armenian physical culture and sports, as well as the history and activity

of the institute.

The main exhibit displays the process of preparing candidates of physical

culture during 1920-1945, until the establishing of the institute,

then the history and activity of the institute starting from its foundation

in 1945 through present times. Renowned Armenian athletes, who had

become Champions of Olympic Games, the World or Europe are presented

in a special way.
