Description:
The Museum was founded in 1978, based on the personal collection of
medical historian Vladimir Martirosyan.
The collection consists of over 8,000 museum exhibits, including herbs
and tools used in folk medicine, personal items and documents of renowned
scientists of the medical university, and etc.
The main exhibit presents the Scientific Medical centers of Armenia
starting from ancient times through the 20th century. Also the selfless
and dedicated work of Armenian doctors during the World War II,
the 1988 disastrous earthquake and the Artsakh liberation movement
is also presented here. The history of creation of M. Heratsi Medical
University and the path it has crossed, are presented in a special way.
