Description: The Museum of Warsaw University of Technology is one of university museums that was established in 1978. Since 2002 its seat is the historic building of Warsaw University of Technology, which is owned by the Institute of Aerodynamics. The building was constructed in 1920’s based on designs by Warsaw architects: Karol Jankowski and Franciszek Lilpop. The permanent exhibition of our Museum includes exhibits representing the history of Warsaw University of Technology. Visitors will have a chance to see exhibits from the times of Technical Institute of Tzar Mikołaj IInd – documents, photographs, replica of the student’s uniform. Some of the items from the opening of the Polish University of Technology from 1915 such as congratulation letters, commemorative medals (from private collection of prof. Mirosław Nadera from Warsaw University of Technology Transportation Faculty) and temporary statute of the University. Our exhibition also includes chemical laboratory equipment, memorabilia of prof. T.Urbański – honorary doctor of the Warsaw University of Technology, diplomas, students lists. One of the exhibition rooms is fully related to slide rulers. The Museum of Warsaw University of Technology also organizes may periodical exhibitions.
