Description: The Museum of Pharmacy is located in an renovated 13th century tenement house. It is the only surviving renaissance classicist architectural structure in Poland. From the moment of its erection until 1951 the building has housed a pharmacy as well as was the home to the pharmacist (apothecary). It is, therefore, one of the oldest architectural structures in Europe which has for so long been associated with the hsitory of pharmacy.
The Museum was established in 2011. The facility focuses on issues connected with the history of science and the developlment of knowledge concerning health and healing wich is underlined by the chronological order of its exhibitions.
75% of the Museum's collection consists of objects from the Lower Silesia region mainly from the 19th and 20th century.
