Description:
The collection of the Archaeological Institute, created in 1852, cover, with little more than 1400 plaster cast sculptures and reliefs, an important part of the history of greek and roman sculpture. Most of well known classical archaeological sanctuaries are represented : Zeus Tempel of Olympia, Apollon Tempel of Bassai, Athenian Parthenon, Pergamon Altar ...

With the renovation of the building during the years 1979–1984, some original archeological collections are also presented with the reproductions.
